The short answer: there is no official Pakistan price for the Nissan Note e-Power, the Note Aura (including the Nismo) or the Nissan Dayz, because Nissan does not sell them new here. Every one on the road is a Japanese import. Since 15 January 2026, S.R.O. 61(I)/2026 has removed the personal-baggage route. An overseas Pakistani can now bring a car in only under the gift or transfer of residence scheme, and the car cannot be transferred for one year from import. Dealer stock brought in under the commercial-import route has paid an extra 30% regulatory duty since 1 July 2026 under S.R.O. 1065(I)/2026. So the real cost of a Note or Dayz is the Japan price plus freight, the duties and taxes Customs assesses on the goods declaration, registration and any dealer margin. Any single "price in Pakistan" you see is a seller's asking price, not a list price.
This guide explains what each part of that cost is, which Note and Dayz grades are worth importing, and how much petrol an e-Power really saves at today's Rs 386.30 a litre. We do not print a landed-cost figure that we cannot back with an official duty schedule. Where we estimate, we show the working.

Can you still import a Nissan Note or Dayz into Pakistan in 2026
Yes, but the routes are narrower. The Ministry of Commerce's S.R.O. 61(I)/2026, dated 15 January 2026, amended the Import Policy Order 2022 in five ways that matter here:
- Personal baggage removed. The words "personal baggage" were deleted from the vehicle-import procedure. Gift and transfer of residence (TR) are the remaining routes for overseas Pakistanis.
- Longer gap between imports. The gap before the same person can import or gift another car rose from 700 to 850 days, counted from the goods declaration of the last import.
- One-year transfer lock. A gift or TR car cannot be transferred for one year from the date of import.
- TR from the country of residence. A transfer-of-residence car must come from the country where the overseas Pakistani lives, not a third country.
- Same standards as commercial imports. Gift and TR cars must meet the safety and environmental standards notified for commercial used-car imports.
Our Punjab import transfer-lock report explains how the one-year lock is being applied at registration. In particular, Punjab officials described the year as running from registration, while the federal order counts it from import. For the commercial side, including the inspection rules and the confusion over the 30 September notice, read our used-car import notification explainer.
What SRO 1065 and the 30% duty mean for Note and Dayz prices
On 30 June 2026 the Federal Board of Revenue issued S.R.O. 1065(I)/2026. It levies regulatory duty at 30% on the commercial import of used vehicles under PCT headings 8702, 8703, 8704 and 8711, when imported under clause (xvi) of serial 10 of Appendix-C of the Import Policy Order 2022. It replaced S.R.O. 1898(I)/2025, and it applies in addition to the regulatory duty in S.R.O. 1064(I)/2026. Both are on FBR's list of active import SROs.
In plain terms:
- A Note or Dayz that a registered importer brings in commercially to sell from a showroom pays this extra 30% regulatory duty. That cost ends up in the showroom price.
- A car that comes in under gift or TR is cleared under the Appendix-E baggage, gift and TR procedure, not the commercial clause the SRO names. Its duty is assessed on the goods declaration under the rules for that scheme.
- The SRO also covers heading 8711, which is motorcycles.
So two near-identical Notes in the same showroom can carry very different duty bills, depending on how they came in. Ask to see the goods declaration (GD). It shows the scheme, the import date and the duty actually paid.
What an imported Note or Dayz really costs: the parts of the price
Customs works out the duty and tax on each car from its own assessed value and the rate schedules. That depends on the engine size, the age, the route and the exchange rate on the day. Rather than invent one rupee total, here is the full list of costs a seller's price should cover. Ask for each line in writing.
| Cost line | What it is | Where to check it |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase price in Japan | Auction or dealer price for that exact car | Auction sheet and invoice |
| Japan-side costs | Inland transport, export paperwork, any repairs | Exporter invoice |
| Pre-shipment inspection | Certificate against the notified safety and environmental standards | Inspection certificate |
| Freight and insurance | Shipping to Karachi or Port Qasim | Bill of lading |
| Duties and taxes | Customs duty, regulatory duty (including SRO 1065 on commercial imports), sales tax and income tax as assessed | Goods declaration (GD) |
| Port and clearing | Wharfage, terminal handling, clearing agent | Clearing agent's bill |
| Registration and provincial tax | First registration, number plate, token tax | Provincial excise receipt |
| Dealer margin | Only if you buy from stock | Negotiation |
For reference, new-car prices in Japan: Nissan's own Japanese website lists the Note from ¥2,399,100, the Note Aura from ¥2,849,000 and the Dayz from ¥1,500,400. These are recommended retail prices including Japanese consumption tax (Nissan Japan's Note page, Aura page, Dayz page). Used imports cost less than this in Japan. But those yen figures show the gap between a Dayz and an Aura before any Pakistani duty is added. The Aura starts about ¥1.35 million above the Dayz and about ¥450,000 above the regular Note.
Nissan Note e-Power trims compared
Most Notes in Pakistan are e-Power models. In e-Power, the 1,198cc petrol engine only makes electricity and an electric motor always drives the wheels, so the car drives like an EV but you never plug it in. The Autowheels Nissan Note page lists 60 kW for the engine, 85 to 100 kW of motor output by grade, 280 to 300 Nm of torque, a 340-litre boot and five seats.
| Grade | Who it suits | Fuel average listed (km/l) |
|---|---|---|
| Note e-Power S | The cheapest way into e-Power, with basic equipment | 28.4 |
| Note e-Power X | The most common grade, with better trim than the S | 28.4 |
| Note Aura e-Power | A plusher, wider, more powerful Note with a more upmarket cabin | 27.2 |
| Aura G Leather Edition | The top Aura with leather | 27.2 |
| Aura Nismo | The sporty Aura with Nismo styling and tuning | 23.3 |
| Autech Crossover X FOUR | A raised crossover look with four-wheel drive | Not listed |
Note vs Note Aura: the Aura costs more in Japan and usually more here, and you get a nicer cabin and more power. The regular Note X is the better value if fuel economy and price matter most. Aura Nismo buyers pay for looks and handling, and the listed average drops to 23.3 km/l. Body panels and trim parts are also harder to find. Before you buy any Note, have the e-Power battery and inverter checked by someone with Nissan diagnostic equipment.
Nissan Dayz trims compared
The Dayz is a 659cc Japanese kei car with a CVT and four seats. Autowheels lists these grades on the Nissan Dayz page:
| Grade | Notes | Fuel average listed (km/l) |
|---|---|---|
| Dayz S | The base grade | 21.2 |
| Dayz X | Better equipped than the S | 21.2 |
| Highway Star X | The sportier Highway Star front end and more equipment | 21.2 |
| Highway Star X ProPilot | Adds Nissan's ProPilot driver assistance | 21.2 |
| Highway Star S-Hybrid X ProPilot | The S-Hybrid (mild hybrid) version with ProPilot | 21.2 |
| Highway Star G | Highway Star grade listed with a lower average than the others | 19.2 |
The Dayz is a city car. It is light and narrow, with small tyres, so it suits short urban trips more than long, fully loaded motorway runs. Driver aids such as emergency braking and ProPilot depend on the grade and year, so check the exact car rather than the grade name.
Note e-Power fuel savings at Rs 386.30 a litre
Petrol is Rs 386.30 a litre from 17 October 2026, according to our fuel prices page. The worked estimate below is for 40 km a day, or 1,200 km a month. The Nissan figures are the Japanese-test averages listed on the Autowheels model pages. The City, Yaris and Alto figures are the averages on our fuel page.
| Car | Average used (km/l) | Working | Estimated petrol a month (Rs) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Note e-Power S / X | 28.4 | 1,200 ÷ 28.4 × 386.30 | 16,323 |
| Note Aura e-Power | 27.2 | 1,200 ÷ 27.2 × 386.30 | 17,043 |
| Aura Nismo | 23.3 | 1,200 ÷ 23.3 × 386.30 | 19,895 |
| Dayz (most grades) | 21.2 | 1,200 ÷ 21.2 × 386.30 | 21,866 |
| Dayz Highway Star G | 19.2 | 1,200 ÷ 19.2 × 386.30 | 24,144 |
| Suzuki Alto (for reference) | 22 | 1,200 ÷ 22 × 386.30 | 21,071 |
| Honda City / Toyota Yaris (for reference) | 13.5 | 1,200 ÷ 13.5 × 386.30 | 34,338 |
A more realistic estimate (our assumption): Japanese test figures are rarely matched in Pakistani traffic with the AC on. If you take 25% off, a Note X manages about 21.3 km/l and an Aura about 20.4 km/l. That puts the Aura at about Rs 22,724 a month. Against a 13.5 km/l Honda City 1.2LS or Toyota Yaris GLi CVT, the Aura saves about Rs 11,614 a month on our assumption, or Rs 17,295 at the test figure. The Dayz uses about the same petrol as a new Suzuki Alto, so you buy a Dayz for its cabin, equipment and driver aids, not to save fuel.
Before you pay for an imported Note or Dayz
- Read the goods declaration. Note the scheme (gift, TR or commercial), the import date and the name whose entitlement was used.
- Check the one-year lock. On a gift or TR car, work out when the year ends from the import date, and ask the motor registration authority how your province counts it. See our Punjab transfer-lock guide.
- Match the auction sheet to the car. Check the chassis number, grade, mileage and repair marks.
- Run e-Power diagnostics on the battery, inverter and generator. On a Dayz S-Hybrid, check the mild-hybrid battery and the CVT.
- Price the parts. Body panels and electronics for Nismo, Autech and Highway Star grades can mean importing used parts.
- Pay through a bank channel and keep the paperwork. A car you cannot transfer is harder to sell or use as security for a loan.
Alternatives you can buy new with a warranty
If the import paperwork and transfer lock put you off, there are locally sold automatics and hybrids with full maker warranties. The Suzuki Fronx GLX 6AT Hybrid (ADAS) is Rs 6,799,999 on Suzuki's list. The Toyota Corolla Cross HEV is Rs 9,299,000 on Toyota Indus's list, and the Honda HR-V e:HEV is Rs 9,299,000 on the Autowheels price page. As a city car instead of a Dayz, the Suzuki Alto VXR-AGS is Rs 3,166,480. Or browse every new hatchback and car under Rs 50 lakh. Verdict
A Nissan Note e-Power, Note Aura or Dayz has no official price in Pakistan in 2026. What you pay depends on how the car came in. Since January, overseas Pakistanis can use only the gift or transfer-of-residence route, and those cars are locked for a year. Commercial stock has carried an extra 30% regulatory duty since July. Insist on the goods declaration, the auction sheet and a written cost breakdown. Buy the Note X for the best economy per rupee, the Aura if you want the nicer cabin, and the Dayz only as a city car, because it uses about the same petrol as a new Alto.
