As of 6 October 2026, a new-car budget of Rs 1 crore or Rs 1.5 crore in Pakistan buys a much clearer shortlist than it did before the 13 September hybrid GST cut. Under Rs 1 crore you can still choose a mainstream petrol sedan or crossover, or step into a locally assembled hybrid or PHEV that now sits near nine to ten million rupees. Stretch to Rs 1.5 crore and mid-size hybrids, larger SUVs and a few high-power PHEVs open up. Below is a post-GST shortlist grouped by body type and powertrain, using dated maker price lists and announcements. Freight, withholding tax, insurance and registration are extra on every row.
Browse the live catalogues: new cars under 1 crore and new cars under 1.5 crore. Specs and photos sit on the model pages linked below. Prices in this article come from the makers' own price lists and announcements, not from catalogue cards where they disagree.
What changed after the GST cut
From 13 September 2026, SRO 1525(I)/2026 moved locally manufactured hybrid electric vehicles up to 2,000cc from the 25% enhanced sales-tax table back to the standard 18% rate. Honda, Toyota and Hyundai cut several hybrid prices. Dealers are quoting higher October prices for some Jaecoo and MG models, but those rises are not on the makers' own sheets yet. Kia has announced no new Sportage hybrid price since the August hike, and Sazgar says it is absorbing tax on Haval for now. Full dated tables sit in our hybrid price notes; this guide is the buyer shortlist for the two budgets.
Petrol (Super) is Rs 393.64 per litre and high-speed diesel is Rs 397.76 per litre, effective 6 October 2026, per our fuel prices page.
Under Rs 1 crore: the shortlist
Rs 1 crore is Rs 10,000,000 ex-factory. Cars at or under that line are listed below. The Honda Civic RS at Rs 10,100,000 sits just over the line and is noted separately.
Hybrid and PHEV crossovers under Rs 1 crore

|---|---|---|---|
| Jaecoo J5 HEV Comfort / Premium | 6,699,000 / 7,699,000 on NexGen's sheet; dealers quoting higher from October | Feature-led hybrid crossover buyers who will get the invoice price in writing | NexGen price sheet, checked 3 Oct 2026; Autowheels will update once NexGen confirms any rise |

MG ZS Hybrid+: dealers are quoting new October prices, but MG's own sheet does not confirm them. Autowheels will update once MG confirms; until then, get the invoice price in writing and check the MG ZS page.
Petrol sedans under Rs 1 crore
| Model / variant | Ex-factory (Rs) | Who it suits | As-of / basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toyota Corolla 1.6 MT to Altis Grande | 6,099,000 to 7,709,000 | Resale-first family sedan buyers | Toyota price list, 30 Sept 2026 |

| Honda Civic Oriel | 8,834,000 | Premium sedan without stepping to RS | Honda price list, 30 Sept 2026 |
Model pages: Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra, Honda Civic. The Civic RS is Rs 10,100,000 on Honda’s own list (30 September), just over Rs 1 crore. The Elantra Hybrid is the next sedan step above the line; dealers are quoting a post-SRO price, and Autowheels will update the Elantra page once Hyundai Nishat confirms it. Autowheels also lists a Civic Standard card near Rs 84.99 lacs; confirm the exact trim on honda.com.pk before you book.
Petrol and hybrid crossovers still under Rs 1 crore
Beyond the Cross and HR-V rows above, Suzuki Fronx petrol variants appear on Suzuki’s own list (30 September) from Rs 5,999,999 (GL 5MT) through about Rs 6,474,999 (GLX 6AT two-tone). Fronx hybrid figures circulating since the SRO do not match Suzuki’s own variant names, so we are not publishing a single Fronx hybrid price. Ask a Suzuki dealer for a written quote that names the exact variant. Lucky Motor opened Kia Stonic Turbo X / Turbo S bookings at Rs 5,499,000 / Rs 5,899,000 on 1 October; those sit well under 1 crore and are covered in detail in our Stonic turbo guide.
Rs 1 crore to Rs 1.5 crore: the shortlist
Rs 1.5 crore is Rs 15,000,000. This band is where mid-size hybrids, seven-seat SUVs and high-power PHEVs sit after the GST move.
Hybrid and electrified SUVs
| Model / variant | Ex-factory (Rs) | Who it suits | As-of / basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| ARCFOX T5 REEV / Apex | 10,195,000 / 10,495,000 | Buyers who want electric drive with a petrol range extender | Sazgar launch prices, October 2026 |

| Kia Sportage L HEV FWD / AWD | 12,199,000 / 13,299,000 | Sportage buyers — last announced prices, not a post-GST cut | Last announced August 2026; Kia site blank on Sportage L price, 30 Sept |
Also in this band, prices not yet confirmed by the maker: the Tucson Hybrid Signature AWD, the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid (Smart FWD and Signature AWD) and the Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV. Dealers are quoting post-SRO prices; Autowheels will update once Hyundai Nishat and Chery confirm them.
Model pages: Hyundai Tucson, Haval H6 GT, Kia Sportage L, Chery Tiggo 8, Haval range, H6 HEV, Jolion, Jolion HEV. We found no October Sazgar invoice price for Jolion HEV or H6 HEV, so those are not in the table as current figures.
Petrol / diesel SUVs in the 1–1.5 crore band
| Model / variant | Ex-factory (Rs) | Who it suits | As-of / basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toyota Fortuner (range starts) | From 12,435,000 | Seven-seat SUV with Toyota resale; higher trims exceed 1.5 crore | Toyota price list, 30 Sept 2026 |

| Kia Carnival | 15,000,000 | People-mover at the 1.5 crore ceiling | Kia price list, 30 Sept 2026 |
Model page: Toyota Fortuner. Fortuner’s upper variants run well past Rs 1.5 crore on the same Toyota list (up to Rs 20,499,000).
Who each budget suits
- Under Rs 1 crore, hybrid first: Corolla Cross HEV or HR-V e:HEV if you want Japanese hybrid service and resale, and you accept the ~Rs 20 lakh premium over the petrol twins. Jaecoo J5 / J7 or Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV if features per rupee matter more and you will lock the price and tax rate on the invoice.
- Under Rs 1 crore, petrol first: Corolla or Civic Oriel for sedan buyers; Corolla Cross petrol, HR-V VTi-S, Fronx (written quote) or Stonic Turbo for crossovers.
- Rs 1–1.5 crore: Tucson Hybrid Smart if you want a mainstream mid-size hybrid (or Santa Fe Hybrid once Hyundai Nishat confirms its price); H6 GT PHEV if you want the performance PHEV and can charge; Fortuner or Sorento if seats and road presence beat fuel economy; ARCFOX T5 REEV if you want range-extended electric drive around Rs 1.02–1.05 crore.

Buying advice for October 2026
- Open the maker’s own price page for the exact variant and note the date.
- Ask whether the quote includes freight, withholding tax, insurance and registration. Kia’s list states its ex-factory prices exclude withholding, freight and insurance.
- For hybrids and PHEVs, get the sales-tax rate printed on the booking order. PHEV treatment under SRO 1525 is still not settled by FBR.
- Pay only into the company’s account. Full payment locks some limited-stock offers (Honda HR-V e:HEV; Stonic turbo November–December allocation).
- Do not treat marketplace catalogue cards as the invoice if they disagree with the maker’s own dated price list — several Autowheels cards still show pre-cut or launch-level rupees (flagged in our research notes).
