The short version: Geely Auto Pakistan has told buyers to mark 24 October 2026 in their calendars. Its post reads "The wait is almost over. 24.10.2026 Mark your calendars." Geely is coming to Pakistan through Bestway Automotive, which Geely calls its only authorised distributor here. Bestway has named the EX5 electric SUV, the EX2 electric hatchback and the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid as models planned for Pakistan. What is still not confirmed: which of these cars will be shown or launched on 24 October, Pakistan prices, variants, booking terms and the warranty. We have not guessed any prices. Autowheels will update this post with official prices and specs as soon as Geely Pakistan announces them.
Below we set out what Geely and Bestway have actually said, what they have not, and the specs Geely publishes for the EX2 and EX5 in other markets. We also show how the two EVs line up against electric cars you can already buy in Pakistan.

What Geely and Bestway have confirmed
- Bestway is Geely's partner in Pakistan. In Bestway Group's announcement of 7 July 2026, Bestway said its subsidiary Bestway Automotive (Private) Limited will be the sole authorised distributor of Geely Auto Group products in Pakistan, covering both distribution and assembly.
- Imported first, local assembly later. Bestway said Geely cars will first come in as completely built units (CBUs), followed by local assembly at Bestway's existing automotive assembly plant in Karachi. No timeline for local assembly has been given.
- Three models are planned. Bestway named the Geely EX5 all-electric SUV, the Geely EX2 compact electric car and the Geely Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV.
- The 24 October date. On Geely Auto Pakistan's official LinkedIn page, Geely Auto Pakistan posted: "The wait is almost over. 24.10.2026 Mark your calendars." Earlier posts said "GEELY is coming to Pakistan, in partnership with Bestway Automotive - Pakistan's only authorised GEELY distributor" and "Geely, with Bestway Automotive. Coming soon."
- Registration of interest is open. The official site, geely.com.pk, says "Geely is coming. A new era of intelligent mobility is coming to Pakistan." Its form asks which model you are interested in: EX2, EX5 or Starray. The form also lists cities from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to Sukkur and Bahawalpur, but it does not say where showrooms will be.

Treat any price you see for a Geely EX2 or EX5 in Pakistan before the official announcement as an estimate, not a list price. Currency conversions of overseas prices also leave out Pakistan's duties and taxes on imported EVs. Geely EX5: the electric SUV
The EX5 is a five-seat, front-wheel-drive electric SUV built on Geely's GEA architecture. Geely's global EX5 page highlights an 11-in-1 electric drive with 160 kW of peak power, a 13.8-inch head-up display, a Flyme Sound system with a 1,000 W amplifier and 16 speakers, a panoramic sunroof, fold-flat front seats and seven airbags, including a far-side airbag. Geely also says the EX5 earned five stars from both Euro NCAP and ANCAP. Its listed driver aids include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping and lane change assist, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert and door-open warning. Equipment will depend on the Pakistan variant.
Geely's official spec sheets in overseas markets, for example Geely Chile's EX5 spec sheet, give these core figures for the EX5 with the 60.22 kWh battery:

Some markets also sell a larger-battery EX5 with a longer range, so the Pakistan battery is not something to assume until Geely Pakistan confirms it.
Geely EX2: the compact electric car
The EX2 is a small five-seat electric car, so it would compete in Pakistan with the city EVs. According to Geely's February 2026 EX2 sales statement, it sold 465,775 units in 2025 and was China's best-selling car across all segments. Geely's global EX2 page and that statement list a rear-wheel-drive layout with multi-link rear suspension, an 11-in-1 e-drive, a 70-litre front boot, a 375 to 1,320-litre rear boot, 36 storage spaces and 890 mm of rear knee room. It also has a 4.95 m turning circle, a 14.6-inch central screen with an 8.8-inch digital cluster, six airbags and a liquid-cooled battery. Geely quotes 30% to 80% DC charging in about 25 minutes.

Battery sizes differ by market. Geely's UK site, for example, lists EX2 versions with smaller and larger batteries than the one in the table. That is why we are not stating a Pakistan range for the EX2 until Geely Pakistan publishes one.
What about the Starray EM-i
Bestway lists the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV among the models planned for Pakistan. Bestway's announcement says the Starray EM-i holds the Guinness World Record for the lowest fuel consumption by a plug-in hybrid SUV. The Pakistan interest form lists it only as "Starray". Geely has not said whether it will appear on 24 October. If it comes, it will compete with the plug-in hybrids already on sale, such as the Chery Tiggo 7, JAECOO J7, OMODA 7 and MG HS PHEV.
How the EX2 and EX5 could line up against EVs on sale now
Without Pakistan prices, the most useful comparison is by size against EVs already listed on Autowheels. These are the current Autowheels-listed starting prices:

On size alone, the EX5 (4,615 mm long, 2,750 mm wheelbase) is a family SUV rather than a crossover hatch. The EX2 (4,135 mm) is a city car with a front boot. Where Geely prices them against these rivals will decide how much the launch matters. What buyers should do before 24 October
- Register interest only on the official site, geely.com.pk. Do not pay a booking amount to anyone until Geely Pakistan or Bestway publishes official prices, booking terms and authorised dealers.
- Ask for the Pakistan spec in writing: battery size, range test (WLTP, NEDC or CLTC), charging speeds and which driver aids are fitted.
- Check the warranty on the car and on the battery, and where it can be serviced in your city.
- Plan charging. Find out whether a home charger is included, what installation costs, and where DC fast charging is available on your regular routes.
- Compare running costs. With petrol at Rs 386.30 a litre from 17 October 2026 (see our fuel prices page), electric running costs are a big part of the case for an EV.
Verdict
Geely's entry into Pakistan is confirmed: Bestway Automotive is the sole authorised distributor, imported cars come first and Karachi assembly follows. 24 October 2026 is the date Geely Pakistan has asked buyers to mark. The EX5 and EX2 are the two EVs Bestway has named, with the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid also planned. Prices, variants and what exactly happens on 24 October are not yet confirmed. Autowheels will update this post with official Pakistan prices and specs as soon as they are announced.
