OMODA and JAECOO Nishat has reached 15,000 locally assembled vehicles in Pakistan. The milestone lands as the JAECOO J7 completes its first year in the local market, and the company is marking it with two cabin and paint changes. There is a First Anniversary Edition with an exclusive beige interior, and Royal British Green joins the J7 colour list.

Below is what is new, what the 15,000 figure tells us, and what buyers should still check.

What the 15,000 milestone means

Nishat Group says it has passed 15,000 locally assembled OMODA and JAECOO vehicles. According to the company, the earlier 10,000 unit mark was reached eight months after its first locally assembled vehicle was delivered in December 2025. The brand credits demand for its hybrid models, including the JAECOO J7 plug in hybrid and the JAECOO J5 hybrid. It also says its dealer network now has 20 dealerships across the country.

This is a company announcement, not an audited sales figure, and it counts vehicles assembled rather than vehicles sold. It is still a useful sign that the brand has moved past the import only stage. For the broader market, compare it with our first half 2026 sales report.

The JAECOO J7 First Anniversary Edition

To mark one year of the J7 in Pakistan, the company is offering a First Anniversary Edition with a beige interior. The aim is a lighter and more upmarket cabin feel than the standard trim. The company has not published a separate price, a production limit or any changes beyond the interior colour, so do not assume extra equipment.

A light interior looks fresh but needs more care in dusty conditions. If you have children or drive long distances in summer, ask the dealer about seat protection and cleaning advice before you choose it.

New Royal British Green colour

Royal British Green is now listed as an exterior colour for the J7 on the brand's official spec page. It is a deep green that suits the SUV's boxy design. The company has not said whether green and beige can be ordered together on every variant, so confirm the exact pairing in writing.

Key J7 specifications

The official spec sheet for the JAECOO J7 SHS PHEV lists the figures below. They are maker claims.

  • Fifth generation 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine with a plug in hybrid system

  • 18.3 kWh battery

  • Claimed electric range of 90 plus km

  • Claimed combined range of 1,200 plus km

  • Combined power of 255 kW and torque of 525 Nm

  • 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds

  • 4,500 mm long with a 2,672 mm wheelbase and 174 mm ground clearance

  • 19 inch alloy wheels and a 60 litre fuel tank

Real electric range in Pakistani heat and traffic will be lower than the claim, and how much you save depends on how often you charge. Keep the current petrol price in Pakistan in mind when you work out running costs.

Price and how to compare

No price has been announced for the anniversary edition or the new colour. Check the latest figures on our JAECOO price list and the OMODA price list, and put the J7 against rivals in the car comparison tool. Tax on plug in hybrids is also under review, which our note on plug in and range extended GST pressure explains. A tax change could move the final invoice more than any paint option.

What to ask the dealer

Ask for the price of the anniversary edition in writing, whether it is limited, which variants get the beige interior, whether Royal British Green can be paired with it, and the delivery window. Also confirm the warranty terms on your booking form rather than relying on brochure claims.

Punjab Excise Holds Imported Vehicle Transfers for One Year

Waqas Afzal5 Min Read

Punjab Excise is reported to block transfer of an imported vehicle for one year after it is registered, using a check in the registration system. The federal order of 15 January 2026 already bars transfer of gift and transfer of residence vehicles for one year from the import date, and those two clocks are not the same.
