The PAPS 2026 price reveal has made the Haval H6 GT PHEV versus H6 PHEV AWD comparison much more interesting than expected.

The H6 GT has been announced at PKR 12,949,000, while the existing H6 PHEV AWD sits at PKR 12,895,000. That leaves just PKR 54,000 between them.

At this price level, PKR 54,000 is a very small jump. More importantly, the GT is not simply an appearance package. It gets a much larger battery, more combined horsepower, a longer claimed electric-only range, and higher quoted DC charging capability. For buyers already committed to the AWD H6 PHEV, the GT therefore looks unusually strong on paper. But there are still reasons to choose the conventional H6, and there is now a much cheaper FWD PHEV that makes the wider buying decision more complicated.

First, Compare the Right H6 Variants

On paper, the GT clearly gains in battery capacity, power and electric range. The standard AWD PHEV, however, still carries the higher quoted torque figure.

The Bigger Battery Is the GT’s Most Important Upgrade

The fastback styling will get most of the attention, but the battery is arguably the more meaningful difference for everyday ownership.

The regular H6 PHEV AWD uses a 19.09 kWh battery with a claimed 100 km NEDC electric-only range.

The larger battery will also take more electricity to refill, though.

For owners charging at home overnight, that should not be a major concern. But buyers should still think about their home-charging setup before choosing a PHEV.

If a PHEV is rarely plugged in, much of the advantage of carrying a large battery disappears.

For that increase, buyers get:

Before booking, ask for the following in writing:

• Delivery month

• Freight charges

• Applicable taxes

• Final equipment list

• Warranty terms

• Charger provision

• Available colours

Because final dealer terms can change, the written booking document should take priority over older promotional posts.

At PKR 12,949,000, the H6 GT PHEV sits only PKR 54,000 above the H6 PHEV AWD.

That small increase brings a much bigger battery, 70 hp more power, substantially longer claimed electric range and faster quoted DC charging.

For buyers already shopping in the AWD H6 PHEV price bracket, the GT offers the stronger specification package for the money.

The regular AWD PHEV remains attractive for buyers who prefer its conventional SUV body, higher quoted torque and potentially better luggage practicality.

But buyers focused primarily on value should also look at the PKR 10.849 million H6 PHEV FWD.

Saving more than PKR 2 million may be far more meaningful than deciding whether to spend an extra PKR 54,000 at the top of the H6 range.
