The GAC HYPTEC HT sits above the AION models as the premium electric SUV in GAC Pakistan's portfolio. It is a large five-seat vehicle with a coupe-inspired roofline, a 4,935 mm body and a long 2,935 mm wheelbase. Two Pakistan variants are offered: Elite Plus with conventional rear doors and Ultra Gullwing Door Plus with automatic upward-opening rear doors. The gullwing design creates visual drama and easier side access in some situations, although owners must consider overhead clearance in covered parking and garages.

A rear-mounted electric motor produces 250 kW and 380 Nm, driving the rear wheels. GAC quotes 0–100 km/h in 5.8 seconds, giving the HYPTEC HT much stronger performance than the AION ES, V or UT. Rear-wheel drive contributes to a more balanced and responsive feel, while the double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension are more sophisticated than the torsion-beam layouts used by the mainstream AION models. The vehicle remains focused on comfort, but its performance reserves make motorway merging and overtaking effortless.

The 83 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery uses an 800-volt electrical architecture and GAC Magazine Battery technology. Official Pakistan figures list 620 km NEDC and 520 km WLTP range. The HYPTEC HT supports 6.6 kW AC charging and up to 280 kW DC charging, with a claimed 10–80 percent time of 15 minutes under ideal conditions. Pakistan currently has limited access to chargers capable of delivering the full 280 kW, so owners should expect lower speeds at many public stations. Vehicle-to-load support adds flexibility for compatible external equipment.

The interior is designed around executive comfort. Nappa leather, a suede headlining, powered front seats and a passenger leg rest create a more luxurious environment than the AION range. The official leaflet lists ventilation, memory and massage for the front seats, an executive rear package with a tray table and footrest, rear backrests reclining by up to 143 degrees, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting and a panoramic roof. The luggage compartment ranges from approximately 670 to 1,802 litres, providing substantial versatility despite the sloping roof.

Technology includes a 14.6-inch central screen, an 8.88-inch cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 50-watt wireless charging and a 22-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system. Safety equipment includes six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera and a broad assistance package with adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane assistance, blind-spot detection, door-opening warning and rear cross-traffic functions. The Ultra Gullwing model adds the signature automatic doors, but most core powertrain and comfort features are shared.

For Pakistani luxury-EV buyers, the HYPTEC HT offers unusual design, strong performance, long range and a very high equipment level at prices below many established premium electric SUVs. Its limitations include high purchase cost, expensive large tyres, slow 6.6 kW AC charging, scarce 280 kW public chargers and uncertain long-term resale demand. The gullwing version also requires a practical parking test. Buyers should confirm insurance, warranty, home-charger installation and specialist service support before ordering, but those prepared for EV ownership receive a distinctive and highly comfortable flagship.
