REEV means range-extended electric vehicle. The S05 is driven by an electric motor and uses a 1.5-litre petrol range extender to support longer journeys when additional energy is needed.

Deepal Pakistan states an NEDC pure-electric range of up to 170 km and a combined range of more than 1,000 km. Actual results vary with battery charge, fuel level, driving style, traffic, terrain, weather and vehicle load.

The S05 REEV Max uses a 27.28 kWh lithium iron phosphate Golden Shield battery and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol range extender. The official brochure lists a 44.9-litre fuel tank.

The official brochure lists DC charging from 30% to 80% in about 20 minutes, with maximum DC charging power of 54.5 kW and AC charging power of 6.6 kW. Actual time depends on charger output and battery conditions.

The rear-mounted permanent-magnet electric motor produces 160 kW, equivalent to 215 hp, and 320 Nm of torque. The S05 REEV Max uses rear-wheel drive for balanced road manners.

Official highlights include a 15.4-inch attentive Sunflower touchscreen, an augmented-reality head-up display, 14 speakers, heated and ventilated front seats, driver-seat memory, a zero-gravity front passenger seat and 64-colour ambient lighting.

The S05 offers a 492-litre luggage area, 35 cabin storage spaces, a power tailgate, a panoramic glass roof and a built-in cool box. Vehicle-to-Load capability can also provide up to 6.6 kW for compatible external equipment.

The S05 includes six airbags, a 360-degree camera, driver monitoring and FutureSense 2.0 assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, collision braking, lane support and blind-spot monitoring. Official Pakistan materials state an 8-year or 240,000 km battery warranty and a 5-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, subject to terms.
