The FAW V2 is a five-door subcompact hatchback that was assembled and sold in Pakistan as an affordable alternative for urban families and first-time car buyers. Its compact exterior makes it convenient in crowded streets and tight parking spaces, while the five-seat cabin and hatchback tailgate provide more everyday flexibility than a small sedan with a narrow boot opening. The Pakistan-market specification used a 1.3-litre VCT-i petrol engine with a five-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.

Official brochure figures list 67 kW of rated power, 120 Nm of torque, a 37-litre fuel tank and a 320-litre luggage compartment. These numbers gave the V2 useful performance for its size and enough boot room for routine shopping, school bags or light travel luggage. Actual fuel economy depends on traffic, air-conditioning use, tyre pressure and maintenance. Prospective owners should avoid relying on old advertised mileage claims and should instead judge a used vehicle through service records, engine condition and a proper road test.

The V2 offered a comparatively strong equipment list for its period in Pakistan. Ride comfort benefits from independent suspension and a relatively long wheelbase for a compact hatchback, although the approximately 143 mm ground clearance requires care on large speed breakers, broken streets and steep ramps. Rear-seat space is acceptable for the class but can feel narrow for three adults. The manual gearbox keeps the drivetrain simple, yet buyers seeking an automatic transmission, modern infotainment, stability control or advanced driver-assistance features will need to consider newer alternatives. Visibility is generally easy to judge in town, but the compact mirrors and older lighting design still deserve a careful test after dark.

FAW V2 production and regular new-car sales in Pakistan ended several years ago, so this model should be treated as a discontinued Pakistan-market vehicle rather than an actively bookable new hatchback. Used-car pricing, parts supply and workshop support can vary by city. Buyers should confirm availability of genuine body, electrical and mechanical components before purchase and should inspect cooling, clutch, steering, suspension and ABS warning lights. A well-maintained V2 can still offer useful space, safety equipment and 1.3-litre performance for budget-conscious ownership, but condition and after-sales support are more important than the original showroom specification.
